Would you like to have them glowing on your kitchen window too?
Well, did you know that you can create your own vintage - like jars, quick and easy with a simple 3 ingredient recipe?
It is also a great way to re-use your empty mason jars, so rewash them and wipe them dry and let's start! Important detail, keep the lids!
All you need is: mode podge, food coloring and water
The recipe: 1 tsp of glue, 3 drops of food coloring, 1.5 tsp of water.
Mix the ingredients in a bowl, use a brush to paint inside the jar.
Put the lid on, turn the jar upside down and let the paint do the rest. When the dripping stops, remove the lid and let the paint dry. It will take a couple of hours, but it certainly worth it!
Even if you make a mistake, you can wash the paint off.
And now comes the point that I have to warn you about something. Your new vintage jars are a little "allergic" to water and are not safe to put food in them either. You can use them only as decorative items.
But you can certainly put candles in them, for all those summer nights on the porch!
And by using different food coloring, you can make your jars look like these rainbow ones!
